FACEPOCALYPSE

For anyone interested I’ve uploaded a .pdf of my slides here, and even added a few annotations (which weren’t on the delivered presentation) to fill in the verbal void.

And now the backstory…

Last weekend a friend of mine mentioned he was going to be presenting at an event called Pecha Kucha, and that they’d just had a speaker slot open up for Wednesday’s event. I made the decision to participate but being a late entry I had one day to prepare my presentation slides. So I had to talk about something I could easily source the slides for, and consequently did a little artistic autobiography about my adventuring into games and exhibiting. Around 1am Tuesday morning I sent the presentation through, and the next evening I hit the stage with a sugar-rush and let the words flow.

Given the opportunity to speak again I think I’d push towards the informative/entertaining aspects while focussing on one specific topic. Regardless, I thought it went really well and received a good response. Thanks to the PK crew and high fives for all the other speakers!
